At the moment HS2 are pushing ahead with surveys & ground investigation (GI) works on both Phase 1 & 2.
Work on Phase 1 is expected to start in earnest around the middle of 2019, with compulsory purchase of land etc taking place.
HS2 have not yet put the Phase 2a Hybrid Bill before Parliament as there is still a lot of design work to be done. This is expected to be completed early in 2019 & the Hybrid Bill put before Parliament around the middle of 2019.
